He rolled his eyes, knowing she was right, but he couldn't help wonder if any one knew who they really were. He smiled and purred, "well anyway, the stars are wonderful toninght." He stopped purring, a new smell was around, something he was taught to fear in his new clan, fox!

Quicksilver noticed Hiddensoul tense. "What is it?" she asked, only now realizing she hadnt been paying much attention to her surroundings. She had such complete trust in Hiddensouls ability to sense anything coming that she had forgot to keep alert herself. Quicksilver silently berated herself, knowing very well that even Midnightclanners make mistakes and miss things sometimes.

"Fox," he hissed and cursed himself under his breath. I can't hear a foxes thoughts, but I need to smell as well. He turned and moved in front of Quicksilver, wondering what he should do. Right when another fox entered behind it. His eyes grew wide, he started forward at a run, jumping at the first fox only to be tossed aside. The other fox now began to close in on him for the final blow.

Quicksilver rolled her eyes when he stepped in front of her. It was sweet of him to be protective like that, but it just blocked her line of attack to help. Hiddensoul startled Quicksilver when he ran forward, she didnt understand why he was rushing into it until she saw the other fox. By then Hiddensoul was on the ground. But the first fox was in her way and she couldnt get to him. Hissing angrily, Quicksilver ran right through the first fox to attack the second before it got to Hiddensoul, almost tripping herself in the process. It was uncomfortable to phase through living things. In the back of her mind she noticed the buzzing again but she didnt let it break into her concentration.

Hiddensoul was slightly confused after being knocked down, he didn't really remember what happened until he opened his eyes. Then he could see everything. Somehow he tried to see what Quicksilver was thinking, to see if she was alright. That was when he noticed the buzzing in her head, still he had no idea what it was and lifted his head up. "Quicksilver look out!" The other fox she had just phased through was coming at her.

Quicksilver heard him and feinted at the first fox before jumping away from both of them. She was luring them away from Hiddensoul. Only one of the foxes advanced on her, and she kept her face to it, so she didnt notice that she was being backed up against a tree. The other fox decided that Hiddensoul was an easier target and was instead heading for him. Quicksilver glared angrily at the fox getting closer to Hiddensoul, the buzzing now so loud that she noticed it. She could try the same trick she had used before. Except that foxes werent as stupid as they looked and they learn. Also the buzzing was now a distraction. While Quicksilver shook her head to try and clear it, there was all of a sudden another blinding flash, coming from right between Hiddensoul and the advancing fox. The buzzing stopped.

Hiddensoul watched the fox come closer, and then the flash. Still even though he didn't know what was going on he ran. He needed to get out of the way of the fox and the light gave him just enough time to regain himself. Once he did he was gone, completly gone. He had turned invisble and raced over to Quicksilver he sliced the sides of the foxes on his way, they didn't know what hit them. "Quicksilver, are you okay?"

Quicksilver swayed a little. She had been looking right into the light and it was so bright it dazzled her and made her head hurt. She couldnt see clearly and she felt a little dizzy. But it was slowly clearing up. "Imal-right," she said anyway. "Arr theys til here." She crouched down in an attack position, ready to jump.

Hiddensoul let out a sigh of relief, at least she said she was alright, we kind of. "No they left, don't worry. He laid his tail on her shoulder and smiled. "Thank you, I don't know what you did, but somehow you saved me." he purred softly and then sat down. He began to clean the few scratches he got still keeping one eye on her. Something had happened and he really didn't know what it was. "Are you sure you are okay?" He asked slowly. Lifting his gaze to meet hers once more.

Quicksilver shook her head and stood up straight. "I'm alright," she said again, coherently this time. "And I dont know what i did either." What could it have been. There really was only one logical answer. Quicksilver smoothed the fur on her shoulder with her tongue and glanced sideways at Hiddensoul. "Im not sure, but maybe I have finally become a warrior."

Hiddensoul stopped licking his scratched to really look at her. He smiled and pushed his muzzle into her flank. "We will keep Midnightclan alive in us, as warriors." He turned his gaze to look at her, he knew what he wanted to say and he smiled brighter. "Quicksilver thank you again, for every thing. No one could have a better friend, I love you." He said the last three words slower and not as loud.

Quicksilver smiled back. She felt happy at what he said. She felt the same but she wasnt as good as expressing herself as Hiddensoul. "I love me too," she teased gently, hoping not to mess up the moment with the joke. Then seriously, "But you're wrong about one thing." she butted his shoulder with her head. "I happen to know I have a better friend."
